Weekly Chair Alignment

Here's a great opportunity for someone who likes to color inside the lines. It is perfect for a family project teaching servant hood to the youngsters. The chairs in the worship center are typically set up already. What has to happen is the chairs need to be realigned on a weekly basis prior to the Sunday worship service. Consider this as your opportunity to help and make a difference. Thank you!

It's Chainsaw Time Again

Wahoo! I have a chainsaw with a new blade and chain ready to go. Zack and Scott helped fell the trees that are now laying in the back parking log. If you like to wreck stuff, this is your opportunity to shine. I've got a new chainsaw that needs a work out. The trees need to be cut up in sections small enough to fit in the dumpster. Who's going to volunteer. Mutt and Jeff maybe? Shows my age right?

Thanks Michael for the help with the cutting. We loaded up the dumpster to overflowing. Fortunately, the timing was right and garbage pickup worked a good thing on the dumpster.

Saturday at Fun (not work)

Thank you Charlie and Michael for the fun we shared Saturday morning using your gifts of service to bring a freshness to Grace Point. Dave is going to be surprised with his newly hung closet doors. Also, the expansion joint in front of the church is now safe with caulking and people will not trip. Jamye is looking forward to the nonskid traction on the crosswalk and Julie will be thrilled to know the kids bridge has been coated with protective sealer and stain.
.
Pass the word on to Suzanne of your life group, 'Thank you for your group's sharing in the fun!'

Kitchen Cabinet Doors

Handy with a screw driver? There is a cabinet door falling off the hinges in the kitchen.

Drop on by!

Appliance Repair Man

Grace Point has an immediate need for an appliance repairman volunteer or trustworthy repairman for hire. If you are that person, help! If you know someone, help! We have a refrigerator out of commission and the kids prefer their milk fresh. We also have a stove that needs work done on its thermostat. My momma always said the charcoal was good for you, but the kids aren't buying it. :)
.
Thank you in advance. God has a blessing waiting for you. Take the chance. Reach out and grab it.

We hired out the job to an appliance repairman not associated with Grace Point. Maybe we will see him in church this next Sunday. We are still looking for a Grace Pointer that knows appliances. Check your gifts list. See if it says, 'loves to work on appliances'. Ha!

Hang Some Televisions

Like to hang around? This is your chance. I need help hanging a couple televisions. Will you plug in and donate a couple of hours of your time? God has a blessing waiting for you. All you have to do is show up. The blessing is yours.

Bi-fold Doors Stain

Dave needs his new bi-fold doors stained and installed. Easy task that will take a couple hours. Come one. Come all.
.
Thank you Sergio for doing this project. It was great chatting about the God things in your life. Tell Alexis hi!

Update Marquee Sign with Sermon Title

Yep! That's not our sign, but I need help keeping the lettering updated on the Grace Point sign. Once a week on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning, we need next week's sermon title to be updated. Can you help me with this task? It has your name all over it. I'm sure of it. Just give me a call or email and we will get you connected to 'Go Local'. This is really local. :)
.

Thank you in advance. Grace Point volunteers are awesome!

Still waiting for just the right person. Check your pulse. If it is beating, you are the one!

Special Office Projects

At different times there is a need for help with special projects in the front office. If you have a bit of time to offer, give Cora a call at Grace Point (696-6093). She will be blessed to make note of your availability and willing spirit. Cora may have a project waiting for you.

Thank you Jeff and Barbara! Your mother was delightful helping with the shredder. Rosemary is a wonderful beautiful person.

Drinking Fountain

Grace Point has a new drinking fountain for installation in the foyer of the worship center. Drop on by and help with the install. I promise you a nice cool drink when you are done.

Thank you David for helping me get this project started. You are awesome! I bought the hardware today and ready to install. See you Wednesday. Archie

Chainsaw Demolition

This is your opportunity to show your stuff. Grace Point has a BIG tree limb that is tearing up our fence. The limb needs to come off. I need someone with guts and a chain saw. If you have the guts, I can get the chain saw.

Thank you Scott and Zack for bringing a chainsaw and other equipment. You did a great job going one-on-one and coming out the victor. The tree is on the ground for the count. Archie

HVAC Repair Services

Grace Point is looking for an HVAC technician, that has the expertise to help maintain our many Trane and Amana residential heating/cooling units. If you are a 'cool' guy/gal who can help, that would be great! We need to talk. There is a blessing waiting. Don't you want to be a part of it?

This is your opportunity to serve. Post to the comments below or email direct.
God bless!

Weed Eater Action - It's all fun!

Anyone know the guys in the photo? I don't either. The internet is an amazing place.

I need to mow and weed eat the kids new play ground area. I think we can get the riding mower in and do most of it. There will be some push mower action to clean up around the church. The bulk of the mowing is kept up by Don, a wonderful long term volunteer for Grace Point. We can all learn a lesson in steadfastness and faithfulness from Don.

Also have leaves everywhere. Whose in the mood for some leaf blowing? I have the equipment. Just need someone with earplugs to operate it. Don't wait too long. The fun opportunities for volunteer service goes quick.

Post to the comments if you can give me a hand.

Sheet Rock Work Needed

Hi Grace Point Volunteer Team,

I have a small amount of sheet rock repair that I need help on. I need someone to teach me the fine art of sheet rock repair. There are some small square holes just a few inches in height and length. The sheet rock was cut out next to the floor because it got wet and mold was setting in. Can you help? Just say when. I’ll be there.

Custom Wood Worker Needed

I am tasked with building a desk into an alcove in an office. We can cheat by purchasing wooden file cabinets as the bases for the desk. Then, we just need to build the top. Do you have the skills and tools to do this job? Can you afford to make this a labor of love? I have enough budget to buy the materials and that is about it. Drop me an email or give me a call if you can help or know someone who will help.

Passion for Excellence

As an introduction, this blog is for those with a passion for excellence in maintaining and improving the campus at Grace Point church. God has blessed us with a marvelous complex of buildings and grounds that make up the worship center, family life center, training center and campus at large. In years past, the family of believers at Grace Point have graciously contributed funds, time, talents and encouragement producing a campus that represents the high standard of excellence expected of God’s ministry known as Grace Point. I want to say, ‘Thank you’ for the years of support you have provided.

Currently, there are a variety of projects coming up between now and Christmas. I hope to make contact with you in the near future and solicit your help. Drop me an email and tell me know what you like to do. Maybe you like to paint, custom woodwork, construction, clean, mow, trim trees, weed whack, demolition, plumbing, chair setup or whatever. Please include your servant passions in your email. I have some specific projects I need help with.

Thank you again for your faithful service. It is an incredible journey Christ takes us on while serving Him. I look forward to meeting you and running the race together.
